Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland is the 2nd largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India, the 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world, and the 10th largest manufacturers of trucks. Headquartered in Chennai, 9 manufacturing plants gives an international footprint - 7 in India, a bus manufacturing facility in UAE, one at Leeds, United Kingdom and a joint venture with the Alteams Group for the manufacture of high-press die-casting extruded aluminum components for the automotive and telecommunications sectors. Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India

Volvo Trucks

The Volvo Group Trucks assembly plant at Hosakote, Bangalore started its operations in the year 1998, becoming the first European Commercial Vehicle manufacturer in India. The plant is spread across over 120 acres of land and meets ISO 9001/14001 standards with it’s well established Quality and Environmental Management Systems in place since the early days.

This state-of-art facility Group Trucks Plant is a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) factory having main assembly line, cab welding & trimming, superstructure mounting, state-of-the-art paint shop and a complete test track for testing and validation of the newly designed trucks. Volvo’s products at this facility includes a range of high end products such as trucks, tippers and tractors.

Volvo Group Trucks site at Bangalore not only houses the assembly of Volvo Trucks, but also has a Distribution Center to support after-market business for Volvo Group business in India and the Remanufacturing facility that prepares products for a second life.
